Position Objective: The Workshop Technician will assist in basic maintenance and servicing of the Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) vehicle fleet. This includes tasks such as brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable. The role focuses on supporting the Workshop Supervisor and ensuring vehicles are ready for PEC activities. The Porsche Experience Centre (PEC) is a brand immersion destination for automobile enthusiasts. It offers the ability for guests of all ages to take in the heritage of the brand, experience the Porsche lifestyle and the thrill of the drive, allowing Porsche to build connections with people from all walks of life. Guests visit the PEC primarily to engage in driving experiences behind the wheel of a Porsche vehicle on a purpose-built driver development track. Primary Responsibilities: •Perform maintenance tasks on the PEC vehicle fleet, such as brakes, tire rotations, alignments, and cleaning vehicles. •Support the Workshop Supervisor in preparing vehicles for PEC activities. •Conduct inspections and pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for track and display purposes. •Collaborate with the Workshop Supervisor to manage parts inventory, including ordering and returning parts as required. •Maintain detailed and accurate service records for all fleet vehicles. •Assist in preparing vehicles for PEC activities, including track events and customer experiences. •Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in the workshop. •Support warranty repairs, recalls, and service campaigns as directed by the Workshop Supervisor. •Operate both standard and automatic vehicles as required for testing and transport. •Follow workshop policies and procedures to maintain Porsche’s high-quality standards. •Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials in the workshop to ensure operational efficiency. •Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor and other team members regarding vehicle statuses and repairs. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business / Engineering or Technical School Degree preferred, or equivalent Experience (Job and Industry): •3+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably in luxury or performance vehicles. •Familiarity with Porsche vehicles or experience in a dealership/service center environment preferred. •Knowledge of workshop processes and diagnostic tools. Skills: •Strong mechanical and technical skills with attention to detail. •Ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive systems. •Excellent organizational and time-management skills. •Strong communication and teamwork abilities. •Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently. •General computer skills (e.g., Dealer Management Systems, Microsoft Office). •Ability to work a flexible schedule •Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles. •English proficiency required; French or German is a plus. Sport Driving Canada is currently seeking a full-time Vehicle Logistics & Detailing to join our client’s team at the Porsche Experience Centre Toronto (PEC). Position Objective: The Vehicle Logistics & Detailing ensures the efficient coordination, maintenance, and presentation of the PEC’s fleet of Porsche vehicles. This role collaborates with the Workshop Supervisor, Drive Team, NVD Specialist, and Event Teams to guarantee seamless vehicle readiness for dynamic programs, events, and demonstrations while maintaining Porsche’s high-quality standards. Primary Responsibilities: • Manage daily vehicle movement, ensuring readiness for PEC events, NVDs, and activities • Conduct inspections and maintenance of fleet vehicles, including cleaning, fueling, and minor adjustments • Ensure all vehicles meet Porsche detailing standards, including interior and exterior care • Collaborate with the NVD Specialist to prepare vehicles for delivery, ensuring flawless presentation and readiness • Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor to oversee fleet tracking, repairs, and retirements • Support Drive Team and Events Team in preparing vehicles for track activities, demonstrations, and customer programs • Maintain accurate records of vehicle assignments, mileage, and maintenance schedules • Act as the point of contact for logistics related to fleet movements, including vehicle transportation and storage coordination Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business / Engineering or Technical School Degree preferred, or equivalent Experience (Job and Industry): • 5+ years working experience in the automotive industry, preferably in After-Sales / Fixed Operations • Previous service experience in Porsche dealership preferred • Significant experience and knowledge of the Porsche brand preferred • Experience in the automotive industry and/or a track environment is preferred but is not a requirement • Service writing at a dealership for luxury car or VW family brand preferred Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects • Strong analytical skills and leader skills • Highly organized, target oriented mindset, works well without close supervision • Ability to set and meet challenging deadlines • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Ability to work a flexible schedule • Ability to operate both standard and automatic vehicles • General computer experience (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Database software) • The ability to foster positive and productive work relationships • English required, French preferred, German a plus How to Apply: If you are interested in applying for this position, please send your resume and cover letter to our HR department at HR@sportdriving.ca.
